As far back as I can remember, wanting to know how things work has always piqued my curiosity. This natural desire for understanding has been the driving force behind the development of my DIY mindset, providing me a laser-like focus in gaining clarity and finding a path forward when presented with new challenges.

As my career has taken me through several diverse product spaces over the past 10+ years, I've applied this DIY approach to better understand products and the people that use them. The role that design plays in the relationship between products and the user is ever-evolving and a space where I thrive as a design leader.

Throughout my career, I have delivered successful web, mobile, and tablet solutions that solve for a variety of diverse user needs. At Grubhub, I lead a team that's responsible for the design of a responsive web app that reaches more than 300,000 restaurant partners. One of my core responsibilities in this is space is to deliver on critical self-serve features that strengthen the relationship between restaurants and Grubhub.

I'm also not afraid to roll up my sleeves and drive the work forward, thriving in roles where I can dig into the details to develop a clear point of view and create consensus among stakeholders. Running various service design activities and illustrating opportunity areas early on in product and design discovery are a few of the efforts I employ as a design leader.

Another area of leadership I focus on is in bringing clarity to the career development of my teams. Having run several successfully dynamic teams, I have always made it a priority to devote time to building out individualized plans with team members to assure they're on track to meet their goals and achieve long-term success.
